PTO

Dear Social Circle Elementary School Families,
We are excited to introduce ourselves as the new Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) Board for the 2025-2026 school year! Our goal is to work together to support the students, staff, and families of SCES, and we are eager to share our mission and vision with you.

As the newly elected board, we are committed to enhancing the educational experience for all students by providing resources, organizing events, and fostering a strong sense of community within our school. With your involvement, we believe we can make a lasting positive impact and ensure that our school continues to be a place where every student can thrive.

The new PTO board members are:
  • Amber Purgason – President
  • Delani Garrett – Vice President
  • Lauren Moody – Secretary
  • Robin Velasco – Treasurer

The PTO is dedicated to supporting our students, teachers, and staff in meaningful ways, and we believe that by partnering with you, we can make a lasting difference. Whether it's through organizing events that enrich the student experience, both educational and recreational, providing additional classroom resources, or ensuring that our teachers and staff have the support they need to succeed. Our goal is to create an environment where everyone, students and educators alike, feels valued and empowered.

Our mission is to strengthen the connection between home and school by encouraging family involvement, supporting our teachers and staff, and enhancing the educational experience for all students. We strive to build a welcoming, inclusive school community through collaboration, communication, and volunteerism.

Here’s how we plan to focus our efforts this year:
  • Supporting Students: We aim to provide tools that help teachers create interactive and inspiring learning environments, and organize student events to explore their interests and talents.
  • Supporting Teachers: Teachers are the heart of our school, and we believe in recognizing their dedication. Throughout the year, we will host appreciation events, provide small tokens of gratitude, and celebrate their hard work during Teacher Appreciation Week and beyond.
  • Supporting Staff: From classroom aides to administrative personnel, we want to show appreciation for all staff members and provide support through appreciation events, small tokens of gratitude, and celebrate their contributions with special recognition days.
  • Build a Strong School Community: We encourage SCES spirit and pride for students, staff, and families. We will organize fun, inclusive events throughout the school year that provide multiple volunteer opportunities.
  • Enhance Communication: We encourage all members to attend monthly PTO meetings. A monthly newsletter will be posted to Class Dojo and the SCES PTO Facebook page to keep families up to date on all PTO activities. Please feel free to send any questions or concerns to scespto2025@gmail.com
  • Fundraise Responsibly: We have set a clear fundraising goal to stay within our yearly budget. We plan to organize multiple fundraisers throughout the school year with a diverse appeal. Fundraisers and monetary donations are vital to support our students, teachers, and staff.
  • Build Community Partnerships: From sponsorships, donations, and event collaborations –THANK YOU for your continued support of SCES PTO!
We’re so excited to begin this journey together, and we truly believe that with your support, this will be an amazing year for our students, teachers, staff, and our school community. Your involvement—whether through attending meetings, volunteering your time, monetary donations, or donating needed items—makes a world of difference.

We look forward to working alongside all of you to create a positive, engaging, and supportive environment for our children.

Sincerely,
Amber Purgason
PTO President
